Braai chicken like a pro

Our top tips to braai perfect chicken this summer.

  1. Start with a clean grill to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking.
  2. Marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes to infuse flavour and moisten it.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat before adding the chicken.
  4. Baste the chicken with marinade or sauce during cooking to add flavour and keep it juicy.
  5. Use tongs to turn the chicken, rather than a fork, to avoid piercing the meat and losing juices.
  6. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes after grilling to allow the juices to redistribute and keep it moist.
