Chicken burgers with chakalaka mayo

Delicious family pleaser – loved by all ages.

Ingredients:

For the Chicken Burgers:
  • 4 Goldi frozen crumbed chicken burgers
  • oil for cooking *optional
For the Chakalaka Mayo:
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) chakalaka
  • Juice of half a lemon
For Serving:
  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices

Method:

  1. In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise and chakalaka. Set aside.
  2. Follow the instructions on the packaging to cook the Goldi frozen crumbed chicken burgers.
  3. Toast the burger buns lightly, if desired.
  4. Spread a generous amount of chakalaka mayo on the bottom half of each bun.
  5. Place a lettuce leaf on top of the mayo, followed by a Goldi chicken burger.
  6. Top the burger with tomato slices and red onion slices.
  7. Spread more chakalaka mayo on the top half of the bun and place it on top of the burger.
  8. Serve the chicken burgers immediately with your favourite side dishes.
